I’m a pattern finder and a dot connector. That’s shown up in every seat I’ve sat in for the last 25 years, whether I was leading the initiative myself or advising the person who was.
It started in my twenties, dropped into a high-stakes cross-functional role before I fully understood what I was walking into. The pressure was real because the cost of getting it wrong was real. That’s where I learned what has shaped everything since: the hardest problems in a business rarely live inside one function. They live in the space between functions, where nobody officially owns the connection.
I’ve spent the past 25+ years of my career in that space. Fortune 100 companies. Founder-led and PE-backed businesses running lean and fast. Sometimes as the person accountable for delivery, sometimes as the outside perspective the accountable person couldn’t get from inside their own organization. Both seats taught me things the other couldn’t.
I don’t sit comfortably in ambiguity or unresolved problems. I move toward clarity, and I build the fix alongside your own people, because a fix only lasts if your team can run it once I leave.
HOW I WORK
Whether I'm running an initiative directly or advising the person who is, my job is the same: see what's actually connected, what's not being asked, and what's quietly working against your own strategy.
Direct, practical, calm under pressure. I ask questions nobody has time to ask, surface what's unclear, find the disconnects, and help you see the system you're too close to see on your own.
How involved I get depends on what the situation actually needs, not a fixed way I work. Sometimes that means owning delivery as the accountable lead. Sometimes it means staying outside as the perspective the person accountable can't get from inside. Either way, I build alongside your own people, not around them, because a fix only holds if your team can run it once I'm gone.
How we work together depends on what the situation requires: a focused session for an outside read, structured monthly access for sustained complexity, a defined assessment with a clear readout, active presence through a critical delivery phase, or ownership of the initiative itself when that's what's called for.
